Step outside and return to the roots of learning
The Wild Wise Clan is a weekly outdoor woodland learning session for home-educated and flexi-schooled children who enjoy learning in connection with nature and each other. These small, fully immersive group experiences are designed to be child-centered, giving each learner the time and space to explore, discover, learn and create.
At Everwild Nature, we believe the most meaningful learning happens when it is brought to life, through rich, practical, hands-on experiences that invite children to be fully themselves. When given the space to explore at their own pace – to do and to feel – learning becomes real, embedded in experience, and stays with each child long after they’ve left the woods.
Each session encourages deep engagement with the natural world through bushcraft skills, seasonal crafts, nature games, storytelling, journalling, and reflective practice.
In our woodland setting, every rock, tree, bug, bird, and every child, becomes a guide, offering something to share, something to learn, and something to remember. Friendships are nurtured, confidence grows, and children learn alongside one another in meaningful ways. They will discover and deepen their unique learning journey each day.
Whats included?
Our sessions vary week to week based on the season, weather, and the interests of the group, but include:
- Den building and bushcraft skills
- Campfire cooking and fire lighting (with supervision)
- Woodworking and tool use (whittling, sawing, hammering, drilling and billhooks)
- Nature crafts (clay, weaving, natural dyes, etc.)
- Foraging and wild food exploration
- Wildlife tracking and identification
- Nature-based games and storytelling
- Mindfulness and sensory activities
- Once a month wild movement and yoga session
- Seasonal celebrations and group projects
Items to Bring?
Drink and packed lunch plus extra snack and drink advised just in case your wee one needs a quick power boost in between activities.
Weather can be a little unpredictable so I advise everything from wellies and waterproofs to sunhat, suncream and sunglasses!
Please also pack a spare change of clothes – socks etc. I will advise further when i get in contact with you the day before the session.
Medications i.e inhalers, antihistimines, epipens etc.
Exploration and discovery
We also provide space for child-led exploration and discovery, supporting individual interests and fostering a sense of independence and responsibility.
Through these outdoor experiences, children naturally engage with concepts that blend practical skills with deeper understanding – gently weaving educational learning (Literacy & STEM) into everyday discovery.
Alongside learning new skills and building on existing ones, children come to understand their role as caretakers of the forest and surrounding land. This fosters a growing sense of belonging, responsibility, and connection not just to each other, but to the world around them.

Suitable for ages 5 – 12 yrs.
Cost?
We encourage children to attend for a full block of sessions so they can get the most out of their home ed/flexi school journey with us.
However we understand that this commitment might not always be possible, so we hold aside a small number of spaces for single day bookings. Please get in touch prior to booking to see if there are single day spaces available – everwildnature@gmail.com or 07799875662.
